How hard is this to install myself? Anything else I'm missing?

Not sure. I wouldn't think so, as driveshaft angles are driveshaft angles.
You change the way your pinion points and you'll be changing your angle.

So should I install it facing forward (sloping down towards front of vehicle), or slope backwards? I wouldn’t think it would make any sense to slope it backwards but then I guess it does since the driveshaft is higher up. I got the tapered because I every thread I read says it’s better to avoid vibration

I would point it forward unless @sparkystaco has a better explanation as to why one would point it backwards.

    I like pictures. :blahblah:
We were both describing the same result only pointing in different directions. I wasn't sure how that worked.

No. The small end faces the front of the truck.

Thanks man! My friend and I are going to do it in his shop with a lift and power tools, so hopefully it should be nice and smooth. The trucks a 2022 too, so shouldn't have any rust (fluid filmed too).
Yeah, that's what I thought. Looks like Sparky was just confused lol. Appreciate the clarification. Good news is, my buddy down the street has a polebarn/shop with a lift, all the power tools and everything we'll need (outside of the alignment). So it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks everyone. I'll post some pics when it's all done (hoping this Thursday).
