I agree the superbowl commercials are entertaining. I’ve seen the Budweiser commercial with the Clydesdales and the Labrador retriever they will be showing during the game. It is awesome

    Afternoon all:

Chiefs fan here, but may the best team win without the other one getting the benefit of missed or bad penalties that affect the outcome of the game.
Just saw where over 1000 private jets have flown into the 4 airports near Los Vegas for the SB, hope Taylor Swift can find a parking spot for hers when she gets there!

I have a tendency to agree, pro sports don't seem like that it's about the game to make it friendly to the fans anymore. I still enjoy highschool and college but college is being changed due to the portal.

The last time I watched a super bowl (for the commercials) I didn't even know half of the companies advertising.

I'm not a fan for many reasons... but the main one is that tax money goes to build stadiums.

@Travlr I agree, we have teams owned by billionaires that have millionaires playing in a stadium supported by taxs that people who can attend pay huge prices for concessions and tickets. The hype and the untold back ground has more support from taxs.

Them stadiums sure do generate a lot revenue and jobs. A lot of downtown redevelopment projects revolve around a new/existing stadium

There are pros and cons around stadium development. But ultimately it is the management of the venue to keep it operational for that to work.

That was true at one time. A stadium usually has huge cost overruns and continuous needs for updates, and they only last an average of 30 years or so. The benefits to a local economy are usually a zero sum game with the downsides honestly evaluated. Usually the real impetus for new stadiums are from people that need an ego boost and the team faithful aren't hard to convince. The rest of the taxpayers get pushed aside as politicians get involved.

A disturbing new trend usually involving stolen vehicles.

I was wondering who was responsible for the helicopter traffic dropping the celebrities off at the stadium. You know someone had to have had that job.

Good morning. Actually, watched the game and was not disappointed. I really did not care which team won. Today I will be over at my cousin's condo when Verizon is on site to install service. Should be an interesting day.

Good morning all. We went to bed at the end of the 3rd quarter. Kind of boring game to that point. Guess they saved all the excitement for the end.

Good morning all. I went to bed after halftime. Because...
STARTING A NEW JOB TODAY!!! Industrial sales. A career I got into back in '83 by emptying trash cans, filling the water cooler, delivering parts...etc. at the age of 21 I already had two children and needed a better paycheck. That job paid me $0.50 / hour more than the one I had as a survey crew chainman.
One of the perks in my new position? Being able to use my Tacoma and getting an allowance for it.

Morning all. Heading home today to rethink the house hunting strategy. Pretty much ruled out new construction what with the way they’re building new subdivisions in SW Ocala with a 5’ setback from the property lines. You better be fond of your neighbors because you’re going to be seeing them a lot. So now this week’s tasks will be tackling the attic. We have to get that cleaned out and there’s boxes of crap up there that we stored 22 years ago and haven’t needed so I’m guessing a trip or two to the dump will be in order. We better get this next move right because the next time I move out of a house it’s going to be feet first on a gurney.
