Have shudder (like rolling over rumble strips) as you accelerate at low rpms and low speed. Do not notice during harder acceleration. Many threads on TQ shudder...dealer is wanting to replace TQ and radiator. Has anyone else tried this repair and did it work?....Of course truck is out of warranty and will cost small fortune for dealer to complete work. Help!

The small container is to soft and it bends. I’ll recommend to Use a syringe

I have this exact same problem on my '17 OR.

I was beginning to think it was an alignment issue.

Thanks. I bought it months ago and never put it in. I guess I'll have to do that, now. Any tips?

I too suffered the trq converter shudder. I'm a 2017 245k + miles . I'm og owner , I did 5 to 6 drain and fills this year in my automatic transmission. I used amsoil and added lube guard platinum and it specifies for use on 6 to 8 speed transmissions and I got rid of my shudder pretty much completely. I do have a slight vibration at wot , but I'm sure it's my cardan joint on my one piece custom rear drive shaft .

My mechanic did it when I dropped the truck off for service.

I had a Mercedes C300 seven speed in the shop with a shudder, a couple of drain and fills of new fluid didn’t help so I tried the Lube Guard and it worked great. I now have a half dozen tubes I’m my inventory. Good stuff.

If lubeguard does the trick, is it an indication of damage or does it just help out when the transmission is a little out of whack?

I used that stuff on a GMC Acadia I bought used as a third vehicle for my kids. It had a shudder at low speeds like the torque converter wasn’t fully locking up. As stated earlier, it happened at low speeds with a partial throttle. Especially when there was a slight load, like on a gentle hill.

This stuff helped my situation and at least GMC makes it easy to add with a transmission fill cap easily accessible. They can’t make a transmission, but they can a bad one maintainable.

The guys on the GMC forum also swear by a specific synthetic Mobil ATF fluid. I look for the name if anyone wants it. Since I had just changed the fluid in my GMC, I just used the ShudderFix stuff.

FWIW, some of the GMC guys found that their “shudder” was actually due to bad coils a misfiring. You want to make sure you are fixing the correct problem.
