    So you're saying Jiffy Lube is up there with Toyota ExpressLube quality? Oh wait, you didn't mention the oil bottle jammed against the fan belt, only the dealer does that.

    Jiffy lube and dealer express lube are both lube.

    not every dealer runs express that way. Some don’t have it express at all.

    Google says the average Jiffy Lube technician gets paid around $14/hr (median). Consider someone at Wendy’s making your burger could be taking home $15/hr well that should speak volumes. Anecdotally I’ve had two relatives drive away and grenade their engine because techs failed to complete the job properly (surprisingly one caused by a finger-tight drain plug rather than the opposite 600 lb-ft ugga-dugga strip job). Cannot recommend using their services.

    If you can turn a few wrenches and are physically able, do it yourself. Really isn’t that hard and a great place to start learning about DIY maintenance. Else find a reputable local non-speedy-drivethru mechanic that won’t F it up.
