I have a 2004 Tacoma with a 2.4 liter 4cyl. with automatic transmission. I’m considering dropping in a V6. Is this possible? Are the mounts in the same place and will it bolt up to the transmission and any other compatibility issues? Thank You!

Unless you have a donor truck to get all the necessary parts from it's probably not worth it, at a minimum you would need the engine, transmission, all associated engine & transmission wiring, and PCM from the donor vehicle.
I'm not sure about mounts, crossmember, driveshaft, etc but I suspect they would be different as well.

Not that easy. Engine perches have to be cut, and re-welded. The v6 had the A340E mated to it, not the A43/44D the 2.4l engine had mated to it. You'd have to run all new wiring for the engine, and the ECU. Exhaust obviously won't be routed the same.

Agree with BartMaster1234 v6 swap is a lot of work, but if your still interested in an engine swap contact Northwest Toys they sell a lot of accessories for engine swaps mostly v8s into old Toyota pickups, also get on youtube and check out Cartunes they do a lot of videos on putting 1uzfe (Toyota/Lexus v8) into older Toyota pickups and 4runners. The 1uz and 3uz are good choices due to their light weight (about 30lbs heavier than your 4cyl) and good power out put, in SOME cases its easier to do the v8 swap than the v6, before doing anything.....research.....research.
