Can the SR be tuned to increase power to SR5+ power output levels?

Or are the motor’s not the same/smaller turbo or something?

The automatic SR has a different cooling system and some other things compared to the 278 HP versions, so probably not the best idea.

BUT if you buy the manual SR, boom you now have 270 HP since it is the same powertrain as all the other manuals

I really want to see this setup. It is the best value in the bunch IMO.

Some dealer did a quick drive of the double cab around the lot on YouTube, which doesn't tell much but I was surprised at the amount of features it had over the old SR. It even looks good now that it has the color matched front bumper.

No coils in the rear obviously, but for starting at around 38K you get an SR with a digital cluster, LED headlights, a sport mode, and a bunch of other goodies.

Toyota don't offer a classic Toyota truck configuration any longer.

    Adjustable headlights!!!

I tow a bunch and that might be my favorite feature on any midsize truck lol.

Dash is a disappointment IMO though. As would be missing the coils.

I would suspect yes, it’s possible.

I don’t think there are major cooling system differences, if any.
