2014 TRD Sport DRL conversion

Hello to all,
I replaced the drl with a switchback led. If I turn on drl switch, light comes out amber. Turn on signal light-amber. Switchback function will only come on if headlights are turned on(drl would then turn to white as parking lights. When signal lights are activated, switchback from white to amber comes on). Is there a way to mod drl from amber to white as default? Would appreciate your input. Thanks.
