Unit is arriving today. So probably Saturday install.

Best upgrade to the stock stereo. Stock knobs went day one.

 

Get you a small tractor and take the rear tires off for knobs. I used some from one of my sons broken tractors

 

Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on this. I’ve been looking for a CarPlay solution for quite some time but haven’t felt the desire to spend $500+ for a decent aftermarket headunit (that doesn’t look out of place) or an OEM one (not even including the cost of the custom wiring harness).

The lone review on Amazon seems promising.

 

Got the package. Solid instructions with photos. Too cold and dark. So Saturday project. Impressed with instructions. Written in correct English.

 

How'd the install go?

 

Great. No issues other than a software update which was easy. Resolution is great. Will post a video of it on operation later.

 

Awesome to hear! How did you have to do the software update? Looking forward to the video. I think this will be my next option for mine versus coming up with an entirely new head unit.

 

Download to a USB drive that plugs into the unit then restart.

Works great. Takes about 15 seconds to boot up and take over. I have a video that my son took but he was trying out a new camera with high resolution and the 1 minute video is 172 MB which is way past the upload limit of 20. So here are some screen shots. It does work really smooth and quickly. One of the best upgrades! It is actually clearer than these screenshots.

 

Just finished installing. Resolution is ok due to the OEM head unit. Takes a few seconds to auto load to car play, depends on how fast your phone connects and wifi antenna placement. I did have one instance where I had no sound. Had to reboot twice and it came back normally.

Rear view camera is retained with original interface.

Overall, not bad for a direct plug in kit. Will update if I encounter anymore bugs.

 

I didn’t update mine after install. What were the new updates?

 

My display was not working so i had to update it so it would function properly.
