Squeaky suspension after installing 6112's

Try loosening the top shock bolt all the way, and getting some grease up in the top hat bushing. Only the shock bolt in center, not the 3 that hold the top hat in. I can almost guarantee it's that top shock bolt bushing. If we play the "tighten till it shuts up" game like some have, you will probably have to continue to do that every so often until it's too tight and blows out the bushing. Not a big deal if you do tho, they only cost like $14. it might be the sway bar but there are only 4 points of contact on that so should be easy to determine is that's it. The sway bar bushings in the front do go bad, but my truck only has 20k on it so I knew it wasn't them plus couldn't feel any play.

came here to check on this - have a similar, very annoying squeak that is coming from what I think is the passenger shock (also have 6112s). did it go away and stay away? what should i lube?

 

Mine ended up being the top bolt/bushing on the shock. They were installed incorrectly by the guy I had do the job. Lesson learned, dont cheap on labor for your truck wrenching.
