Yes, you should. To me, one of the advantages is the ability to quickly defrost stuff by throwing it in a pot of boiling water. Easy to take some frozen grilled chicken, defrost it in five minutes and throw it on a salad for a quick dinner when we don't feel like cooking

 

Good morning! partly cloudy 60* something morning. Nice walk. First week of new job is flying by. Mostly on-boarding and admin stuff. Going to the company HQ next week in St. Louis to meet engineering, technicians, assembly, see "how the sausage is made" etc.

As they always say, it could be worse, and like you stated, be grateful that you can see at all, good luck with the prism lens, hope that helps. My mother fell down the basement steps when she was 12 YO and ended up being blind in one eye for the rest of her life, maybe today they could have done something to bring her sight back, but that was 1924 and they sure as heck didn't have the technology that they do today!

Week one of new job will be in the books today. Tomorrow we are taking the new Tacoma for it's first long drive! Dropping off one of the girls to Gainesville to hang with big sister at her apartment near campus. Then heading up to work on our place in Suwannee county. Expecting plumbing, flooring, and land clearing to be on the docket tomorrow, with electrical work on Sunday. Then picking up the kiddo in Gainesville and back here to the 727 sunday night. Then packing for an early flight to St. Louis on Monday to the new HQ. Whew.
