Hello all, although I've been active on the forum for several years, I thought it's time I'd introduce myself on this forum.

I''m Alex with Doekter TUNED - Custom Performance Tuning based in Calgary Alberta Canada.
    www.DoekterTUNED.com
    IG @doektertuned
I've been tuning diesels since 2007 and it's been my full time job since 2013.
All we do is software - ECU remapping, although ours and our associates area of expertise expands into many areas of the automotive industry, from general automotive repairs and maintenance, to mods to body and paint, etc., and, we are car/truck enthusiasts.
I've personally owned 263 vehicles, and, I've bought, fixed and sold 250 of them and only lost money on 2, a Ford Tempo and a Jeep Cherokee and since I'm superstitious I've never again bought any of their makes.

Over the years I've developed great relationships all over the world with clients from as far as Europe and Australia, all over Canada, US, Hawaii and Puerto Rico..
I've bought my first Toyota in 2020 and loved it, I currently own a 2022 4Runner and a 2023 Tacoma M/T, both lifted, tuned, armored and trail ready.

I know I don't know everything and I'm looking to continue developing great relationships where we can share our common knowledge.

    Full disclosure:
I've been the KDMax authorized dealer for Central and Southern Alberta since 2021 and NOT looking for a d!ck measuring contest or "us vs them" discussion, please participate only if you can bring anything constructive to the discussion.

Between writing files or flashing tunes, I spend most days trying different mods for fit, finish and functionality so if it's not on one of my rigs it probably didn't made the cut, but, ask away, chances are I at least saw it on one of my client's vehicles or at a meet.

Also, if any of you need help with anything diesel related, just ask.

    Public Announcement.

Due to the recent acquisition of KDMax by YotaWerx and the relentless drama between the Big 3 tuning groups that we no longer wanna be a part of,

    Commencing Immediately,

Doekter TUNED will not be providing anymore KDMax or by extension, YotaWerx tunes.

We've been working in house with a team of developers and launching our own, Alberta made tunes, adjusted for both our weather and our altitude.

So far we have the tunes for 4Runner and 3rd Gen Tacoma M/T and still working on the Tundra, and 3rd Gen Tacoma A/T which are currently on Beta testing and will be officially released within the next 2 weeks.

You might get approached by various entities or our now competitor's local dealers, claiming that you're now their clients, and asked to be swapped to the "new tune" for a fee, that is simply not true.
At Doekter TUNED we've been writing and flashing our own diesel calibrations since 2007 and its been our full time job for 11+ years, software/ECU remapping is all we do. Although we and all our associates are car enthusiasts, we're not working regular jobs during the day and moonlighting as tuners for extra cash. Tuning vehicles is solely what we do.
We've been offering our own, in house calibrations and testing them on our Toyotas since 2021 however due to our agreement with KDMax we never advertised it.
You've always been, and remain our valued customers and regardless of what version (VF Tuner, Coyoza, KDMax, etc.) of the tune you're currently running, if you were tuned by Doekter TUNED, you will continue to receive support from Doekter TUNED.
All our customers will be taken care of, regardless if you decide to keep your KDMax tune or decide to try our new, "DT Underdog" tunes, absolutely free of charge for those clients on the latest, KDMax 10.0 version and a $100 CAD one time fee for those clients that are on older versions of KDMax.
Moving forward, all our tunes will have FREE LIFETIME UPGRADES included, meaning that when a new version of our "Underdog" tunes is released, you will NOT have to pay another fee, like our now direct competitors want to charge.

Another thing to mention, unlike our now direct competitors, Doekter TUNED will NEVER require or keep a record of your VIN# attached to your contact info in order to get your vehicle tuned, as we value your privacy.

We'll continue to offer support for those that are flashed with KDMax 10.0 and 9.0 and decided to keep their current tune, all others will have to be upgraded to our "Underdog Tune" in order to receive support when returning to stock, or upgrading their gears, throttle tip, tire size, etc.
All the support continues to remain completely free of charge.
Introductory prices for new clients have also been adjusted accordingly directly on our website- www.DoekterTUNED.com and are a lot lower than the previous version for which we had to pay a royalty fee to KDMax.
While our focus remains developing "drivability tunes", as we don't have emission testing in Alberta, our tunes will not be restrained by the SEMA or CARB certification our American competitors seem to adhere to, so zero limitations.

While we've been working for the past several months on developing tunes catered for Canadian climate and adjusted for our 4,000 ft altitude, we're currently working with a couple long time partners in the US and Puerto Rico on developing "flat land" and sea level tunes to expand our offering for the US market.
We welcome new partnerships without the drama that the Big 3 tuning Groups have been entangled relentlessly for the past couple of years.

We also welcome constructive competition, so feel free to reach out if you're considering getting your vehicle tuned, test our tune back to back vs our competitor's or if you're a tuner or a shop looking at working with us.

    Buy CANADIAN, SUPPORT LOCAL.

Good one, Alex, kinda makes me wish I lived a bit closer to Alberta. I’m currently running self flashed KDM 10.0 but would like to hear the details of your “flatland” tune and maybe try it out. 2018 6A, off road, located in Winnipeg, occasional camper towing.
