OK, So I'v been a NASCAR fan all my life. The great Dale Earnhardt was my driver for years until his untimely death. I tried to follow Jr. but just didn't seem to be my new driver. It was Martin Truex Jr. that kept catching my eye in the Nextel Series so I followed him into the big league, NASCAR. Before you know it he was finishing ahead of Jr., winning races and a championship. He could have one or maybe even two if not for one thing or person, in my opinion. Yeah, James Small. I'm sure a great guy, but not a great crew chief. It has been over three seasons of bad calls and mistakes that have really hindered and hurt Truex's performance. I can't believe what happened last night at the Daytona Qualifiers. Not another year of bad calls and decisions. Martin Truex Jr. for sure holds the unofficial record for the most times a driver has had to race from the back of the field during a race. Sure, he's made some mistakes also but not like the man on the box.
So, who thinks it time to have a crew chief change. I sure do.
