Hello fellow Tacoma owners I have started this thread to talk about when a front axle drop kit is needed. I recently purchased a
Bilstein 5100 leveling kit then lifts the truck approximately 1.55 inch’s in the front and 1 inch in the back. Which leads me to my question do I need a front axle drop kit? And where should I buy it?

You do not need a diff drop

Diff drop isn't needed for under 4" of lift. If the CV boot fins are touching, pull the boot out a little and re-clamp.

Lift kits for 4" and higher are drop-bracket lifts which lower the front diff, among other things.

Thank you for sharing your pronouns...

I would advise against a diff drop unless it's part of a 4" or 6" drop bracket kit. Spacer diff drops are known to cause wear/damage.
