Well, after years of driving Pathfinders and dodge trucks and admiring Toyotas from a distance (I used to tow a fair bit more), I finally got fed up with my last dodge half ton and traded it for this truck. I don’t really post online but figured I should make this intro post. The forum has been a great resource for finding out what sorts of kit folks are using. I wanted a TRD pro but selection for new 23’s was limited here in Canada at the end of 2023, and ended up paying a TRD pro price (due to BS dealer add-ons) for a 2023 nightshade. I have rims, tires and a bilstein 5100 lift/ICON AAL’s on order, plus a TRD pro style grille. So far my only mod is tinted windows (which I do for the heat rejection with spending a lot of time sitting in trucks in the summer for work). I was gunning for a ‘24 hybrid but the dealerships locally figured I wouldn’t get one in time for summer (start work end of April and use my truck at work). So I got a 23 while the selection was still ok and the interest rates were okay lol. (Better than used anyways).

Edit: I should add that that I bought a 2018 4runner for my wife about 1.5 years ago and we have loved it. The Toyotas are ofcourse not as cushy as any other brand but the dependability and easy to clean interiors have been nice.

oh we also have a 1977 Land Cruiser FJ45 :) it runs (poorly) and drives but needs some work lol. Haven’t had time to get to it yet.
