    I had a nice unexpected home repair I had to make yesterday. As I was walking around the house I found this on the front porch eve. It had to occur in the past 3 days :facepalm:

    it appears one of my squirrels decided to to have a taste

    With rain coming in I looked into the depths of the shed and found a piece of broken vinyl that I saved a few years ago after it blew off in a storm. I’m glad I didn’t offer it up to the prize vault the other day. After some measuring, ciphering, cursing and redoing angles I was able to fabricate a repair. It’s not the greatest but it works.

    Of course it would have been easier and quicker to just replace the 2 runs with new vinyl but where’s the fun in that lol.

    That would have also required painting the vinyl because I learned when the piece blow off they don’t make the forest green color anymore. Back then I had to buy white vinyl and Lowe's was able to color match the paint from the broken piece. The vinyl siding place here told me they stopped making the dark colors because of fading. The only faded piece on the house is the one I had to paint :notsure:
