That is now home. Hopefully, they will start yarding soon . When they do, I'll get extra pay for flagging on the road next to my trailer.

 

Well crap. Hopefully Forest Service gets a wheel loader up here early tomorrow. Landslide blocked me in the short way off the mountain. Thankfully I found a spot just before it where I get a little signal with my booster turned on.
I was really looking forward to getting a burger today, not to mention gas for my generator.

 

Any way we could bring you something? Rough location?

 

Naw, I'm good. I appreciate it though. They are working on it right now. Looks like they should be done pretty soon, road is clear and they are clearing the ditch. I'm just sitting here watching and as soon as they are done, I'm going to go get gas at the podunk gas station to last me til Wednesday when I make the 1.5hr drive to town.
Location is actually really easy, just takes a while because it is up a windy road. Other than fill for culverts and debris from slides, it's paved all the way. I have another way out but it takes me way out of the way, so that is reserved for if I absolutely need to get off the mountain. I'll probably stop at BLM on Wednesday and get an area map with the logging roads to look at more options and to hang onto if S&R ends up coming up the mountain like they did 2 winters ago looking for tourists.

 

I went with ECGS because the quotes from local shops were too high. Been solid with no problems.

 

Did you check Just Differentials in Cashmere?

If anyone has experience there, good or bad, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll likely chose East Coast but will also have to ship the open-box Tru Trac I just picked up locally.

 

Yep, that was one of the places I checked. Their quote was also high and they were not responsive either. There was another place I checked in Aloha that was even higher. I should note that when I say "high" I mean high in my opinion, but in reality it's probably the norm. Going with ECGS was obviously cheaper because you're doing the labor of pulling the diffs yourself.

Got tired of having to stand out in the rain to watch for and flag traffic at work. So, I built a pair RC traffic light setups. One end of the job site is around a corner which I can't see because of trees, so I have a long distance driveway alarm set up to tell me if there is a vehicle on that end.
I didn't have green marker lights to use on the box (to see which it is on from the back), so I just used white lights. I will replace the white with green later on. The legs are chain link top rail. They are galvanized, but I plan to clean them and paint them orange.

 

Hey all! It's been a while since i've been on here. I am selling a set of drawers for a 6' first gen. Built them a few years back for my 04' but ended up selling the pickup so I don't have a use for them anymore. Sturdy build with 1/2" plywood top and 2x6 frame. Drawers slide on UHMW plastic so there aren't any bearings or slides to break. Drawers have carpet in the bottoms to protect whatever you put in there. The top is herculined to give it a bit of extra protection and there is a piece of aluminum on the front edge to protect the corner from getting all chowdered up. Also includes plywood pieces for cubbies on 3 of 4 corners of the bed. I'm sure you could do all 4, I just had my hi-lift mounted there so I never needed to build another one.

Asking $500 as that's about what i've got into the materials. Price is OBO though, I am open to offers.
