Is the key fob the same on Tacoma and RAV4?

I removed the old battery and am having trouble installing the new one.

I've installed batteries on other key fobs with no problem.

This one as you may know is very tight and you have to pry it out.

Is there a trick to getting the new one back in?

I'm thinking you'd start opposite the hole you use to pry it out but this isn't working. The close up shows the pry area and I am starting opposite the pry hole.

    HELP!

    No wise guy comments please!

In the YouTube videos it's going in very easy.

    Thanks for the help.

Check to verify which battery your Fob uses. 2032 and 2016 batteries look the same but the 2032 is slightly thicker. Your Fob may be happier with a 2016 if the 2032 is too thick.

Thanks for another idea. It does take a 2032 but maybe I'll try a 2016 if all else fails

I’m not entirely sure on this, but I thought I read someone having this issue and the brand of battery being used made a difference. I know this doesn’t make sense, as you’d think that battery code, would have a set of dimensions to meet as part of the criteria.
but something to try or to search for more info on.
