2005 Toyota Tacoma 4-cyl base model manual
So my Tacoma didint start, it started 3-days ago where it will only start after 2-3 tries, then 4-5 tries then today no start no crack at all, I checked under the hood and saw a little lose dirty battery connection with the smaller wire attached half broken and immediately thought that the issue, spliced the wire and got a new u/shape connection end but still no start and or crank, had my friend push start me and got on my way, when I got home 10mn still no start/crank, called mobile mechanic and had me check is the clutch pedal presses the little round which switch button direct under the clutch pedal, to my amazement the floor mat (carpet ) was seating too high and prevent the clutch peddle from reaching all the way to little button (the truck being manual transmission can Not start unless you press the clutch all table way in and it PRESS the BUTTON Under the Clutch PEDDLE, go figure, almost ended up spending a ton of money to get everything else diagnosed, the battery, alternator, started, really switches and his knows what else, In new here and this is my first post in hope of helping someone that has the same issue and dosent know about that little button under the clutch (don’t let the floor mat seat high or it will prevent that clutch peddle from pressing on the little neutral switch (that’s what caused the issue with me) an old dirty floor mat, (what a joke)
