    I need to go bigger
    So I’m guessing I need a 2-3” lift

I want to put 33” tires on it

    No... they won't fit...

Goggle this has been asked 1k times.

You can't put 33s on a stock rim - it's only 7.5" wide.. thats the first problem.

Then there's the offset of the stock rim

Then lets say you get a proper wheel

Then there's the CMC you will have to do... cutting chopping and welding.

Then there's the pinch weld you will have to hammer down.

Some have been lucky with a lift and stuffed em in there but not with stock sport wheels. They are ugly anyway, just get new wheels.. and why yer at it, take off the chin strap.

I would have no issue putting a 285 on a 7inch wide rim for my own use. You'll see lots of guys here running 285's on stocks rims. When I ran 12.5" wide tires it was on 8 inch wide rims, some guys ran them on 7's to hold a bead better (at least that's what they said). 33" options would be the 255/80R17 or the BFG 34x10.5R17, both are pretty close in size and recommended to fit a 7" wide rim. I just ordered some 17x7 rims with the intention of running 34x10.5 now and 285/75R17 down the road.

Edit: Sorry I read the thread title and assumed we were just talking about the rims. Not the how big a tire can I fit on my stock truck question.

Any help appreciated. I know this is the most overasked question, but time for some new rubber and feel like I can go a bit bigger, want some help from you pros out there.

2020 Tacoma TRD Sport (6'Bed) I have a basic 1.5" Spacer lift and 1.5" wheel spacers. Currently running 265/70R17 KO2s, what do you think i could get up to without trimming? And i like the stock 17x7.5 rims it came with. I know some guys dont like em, but im a fan. Thanks for the help and happy cruising.
