My SIL had her catalytic converter stolen for the second time in 7 months at the Boulder RTD park and ride. She said her insurance only covers one per year.

Before catalytic converters started restricting engines and polluting the atmosphere, cars had big blocks with carbs that got the same economy and went really fast.
    My dad's '67 Olds 442 Cutlass Supreme.
In 1967 he traded a VW bug for it in Chula Vista CA, I was just 7 months old.
They used that car to move from CA to Kansas, then Breckinridge, back to Kansas, and was traded for a white pos station wagon when kid #3 came along. Pretty sure dad never forgave us for that one.

You could try a fescue mix under the trees. They are generally shade tolerant, but not a lot of species native to Colorado. Junegrass may be an ornamental that succeeds as well.

If you're open to forbs or shrubs, this list is a good starting point.

Replaced engine with gerbils for sustainability.
SPC is setting up a warranty replacement for me. However, it's not official until they receive my old set and inspect them to determine whether the play is the result of manufacturer defect. It sounds like you've filed warranty claims with SPC before, yeah? Did you send them the defective parts and they determine it was abuse or neglect after inspection?

How long ago did you last purchase SPC UCAs? They've redesigned their UCAs apparently within the last year because mine are just over a year old and they're the old design. The SPC rep tells me there's no need to worry about maintaining them with the latest iteration. They've removed the grease zerk and plugged up the input with an allen plug and used different grease they expect to last. They also tightened up some tolerances. I guess time will tell whether it's an improvement.

Holy crap. I should look into my policy.

I had the muffler shop weld in a cat there sheild, so hopefully that’s enough of a deterrent that the lowlifes just move on.

careful with Buffalo grass or any variant (like Africa dog turf grass)… that shit spreads via rhizomes that can go under a driveway and pop up 20’ away.

I’m replacing my turf (which I haven’t watered in two years) with a combo of rock paths, fire pit seating areas, and native plantings. The latter I have all over my property - tons of hummingbirds, butterflies, hummingbird moths, bees and the likes.

Buffalograss has stolons, not rhizomes, but very similar. Most turfgrass will not wreak havoc underground if they have the option to grow out and put effort into flowering above ground. Problem is... they don't get that chance.

I honestly don't know and he's not around to ask, but him being a gearhead, probably.
Edit, Google says that year came with the 6.5 liter. So yes it did.
