Speaking of…I just read that we are getting another charging station in town. Making a total of 3. My area gets its electricity partially from a hydro-electric dam on the Pecos River and partially from natural gas. Soooo, not really seeing the ecological benefits here. :notsure:

    Me too :fistbump:

I never had any great desire to own one.
    But you know what?
It's surprisingly accurate, and fun to shoot steel clangers with at my Club's 200 yard range.
It's also a very capable groundhog eliminator

(Just over 1.5 inch spread at 100 meters. Not particularly impressive, but pretty good)

I was also taught that when the Founders were debating exactly what form of government we should have, that some suggested Washington should be our first King. To that, Washington supposedly responded "I did not fight a war against George III in order to become George I". Further evidence that he absolutely did not believe in any one person having too much power.

They have the team to contend. Better coaching could very well get them there. Jerry knows he can’t live forever and he desperately wants another trophy before he cashes in his chips

I like the quick release scope!!

I have iron peep sights on mine - but I don't get to shoot it often mostly because I don't have a place to do so. I'm workin on that but for now it is what it is..

I was thinking about getting a 22LR conversion kit for it - so I can try n shoot it at the rimfire thing I have been competing in.

I always preferred aperture sights for light weight and the fact that they don't get out of order (like a banged scope can do).
Still have 'em on my deer rifle and Marlin 39A .22LR.
Most deer are shot within 100 meters around these parts.

I have a 1-4x LPVO (low power variable optic) with quick release for my AR.
I debated between that and a red dot, but went LPVO... cuz groundhogs
Shooting a groundhog at 200 meters plus using irons is asking a lot.
I also have a 3-9x variable, same setup.

You may ask: "why a quick release?"
Well, a good one is just about as robust as a fixed mount.
If your scope craps out for any reason, it comes off in seconds, and you flip up the backup irons.
Or say if the 2 legged varmint kind of trouble is coming your way and you have a few seconds...
... a scope would be a detriment then.

    Ain't the picatinny rail wonderful?

Of course when you put it back on, you should re-zero.
But I've been surprised at how close it is after doing so.

    I love gun talk
