Long time lurker, first time poster here.

    Hypothetical question:
I performed the last oil change and factory recommended service on my truck (2020 TRD OR) at 28.6k in April of '23. Since then, it's only been driven ~3k as of Feb '24. I'm about to be gone for the next ~7 months with my wife driving it minimally in that interim.

For the group, should I change the oil now knowing it will be likely November or December (for a total of 1.5 years) before it will get new oil even though it's only 30% of the milage interval. Or will it be fine and I should save my money until later?

Hypothetical answer: if dino oil, change it. If full synthetic, cheap out.

A non-hypothetical Thank You! It's full synthetic, and this was was my gut-feeling but it's good to get some confirmation.
