2 weeks ago my truck went from starting fine but when it is cold it needs a little patience for a minute or two. Then I got into my truck and it drove rough enough for me to drive it straight to a shop. Took it in to Midas, they changed spark plugs and said fuel was spilling through a gasket. Got it out and then it presented a new problem (and the current problem). If it’s cold it takes about 5 Mississippi seconds to crank (yes, I let the fuel pump prime). I took it back and they’ve found problem after problem, but none have fixed the issue. Once cranked it drives fine, and it will crank for an hour after easy. But 2-3 hours later it reverts back. They changed the fuel manifold, spark plugs (they put high mileage in first then changed them to the Toyota ones).

{sound solved, it’s unrelated to main issue}it’s also just presenting a new sound. It’s like a flutter sound when I accelerate slightly (it only happens when the truck is moving, if I rev it from the block in park it doesn’t happen) I’ll post a video.

I’ll try and post a parts list changed thus far:
    Spark plugs
    ECR valve
    New battery
    Fuel rail
Oil pan/and a bunch of gaskets(oil was spilling into where my spark plugs were apparently).
    Coolant temp sensor
There’s more: I’m about 2k in, just cant think of it off the dome.

Make your video unlisted, not private.

If the flutter immediately stops when you take your foot off the pedal, it's supposed to be a CV axle joint.

Update: it was an EGR valve making the noise. I replaced it and now the noise is gone. Still have a starting issue but it is now random. Cranks fine sometimes and others not. Haven’t had an event after the EGR fix, but will know in the next few days.
