Has anyone replace their front backing plate on their 2nd gen Tacoma. I was wondering where the least expensive place to buy one was at. eBay was $87 and I couldn't even find one on Amazon

Yes , the dust shield and yes it's the 6 lug.
I don't know if that price only is at Decatur?
I called them today and the dealer quoted me the $89 price
    Thanks for the links

I’m not too sure if it’s only them, it may be a regional thing. I just ordered a bunch of maintenance items from them today, and I’m way over in AZ.

    Thanks for the link.
I will share it with my local dealer and see if they can match it

I’m seeing 6 lug. It says it fits 05-23, 4.0 4wd, pre runner, etc. and if I plug in a year/made/model/driveline it confirms the fit. Part numbers

    47782-04050
    47781-04050

To be fair I did not confirm these using my parts site, just some googling and cross referencing, so there is a chance they’re wrong.

Oh yeah, I am seeing that same diagram. I just tend to ignore those because they’re not the most accurate.

Now you’ve got me curious, give me 5 minutes and I’ll check the parts site.

I had it right, it's the diagrams that are incorrect for some reason.

That said, if buying parts online, it's always a good idea to include your VIN so they can double check for you.

    Ok. Nice.

I'm always cautious when ordering stuff online.
I'm the type of guy that wants it all to "add up" before I click "buy".
I've screwed up more than once.

    I take precaution now.
