Anyone installed a Trutrac? Was thinking about putting one in my Prerunner. Any suggestions or real world use?

It's a great option for maximizing traction up until the point where you lift a tire, which is when you need a true locking differential. I prefer a TrueTrac when available for most conditions. I actually have a built diff for 2nd gens for sale if interested but it has 5.29s which may or may not jive with what you need.

Regardless, the TT is a great diff option.

I’m hearing good things about them. The way I use my truck it’s looking like it will be a good option. Is the diff you have a non-eld? What do you want for it?

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
I have a TT in my Turbo 1st Gen race truck and I love it. I bought a used 3rd member with it already installed with the stock 3.73s, destroyed those gears over time, then went to 4.10 in the same 3rd member with a new bearing and seal kit. Didn't touch the TT otherwise, just reinstalled it, and it continues to do what it's designed to do. Couldn't ask for an easier-to-use and reliable LS setup.
