    You never know.
Mice like to munch on wire.
    Squirrels too.

I still get nervous when I walk out the door and see a squirrel running around under my truck.

Don’t believe mice.....have a 20 lbs male cat that patrols the garage!!
But when truck is parked outside ...could be possible???
Can you tell me where the main grounds are located.....would like to inspect and clean to eliminate them as a factor.
Plan on trying to take video of harness as well as repeat wire jiggling to narrow down the problem.
And confirm it’s not in the connector ??
Also ...thanks for the STA relay jumper tip.....was able to start truck and move out of the way and will make it way easier to move back to garage for further testing and repair !!

    It’s fixed… Almost !
Well ... it’s been a couple months since the trucks been sitting… (Winter) !!
But..... got under it today... ( 62° Here
today )....and spliced in a new pigtail I found online !!7753BBE2-D198-43F7-89CF-E98816175986.jpg
    Reasonably priced too !!
Very difficult to splice because I had to cut the existing wires back ( Way more than I wanted to)... because of corrosion !!
Turns out .....a few of the wires and pins in the connector were completely corroded all the way through !!
    08ACF649-11E8-4312-B3A9-BA5FF9AAC573.jpg
Tried to remove One of the corroded pins… But trying to release the pin and pull on the wires..... two of the wires came off in my hand with very little effort !
So.. I absolutely needed the pigtail !
Except… One of my spices is bad.... actually ....I was pretty happy with eight out of nine .... considering where they were !!

So....I have all my dash gear indicator lights back working now except for (1)....gear ”3” does not light !!
And I am not exactly sure which wire it is… So I can re-splice it

If there is someone who is reading this .....can you tell me which wire goes to 3rd gear indicator light ....on the neutral safety switch connector ??
I have an idea which one it is but I am only about 70% sure !

    Thank you DM93 !!
That’s the one I thought it was..... but was not 100% sure.
There are two yellow wires…… One is a larger gauge in position (2)...
And it wasn’t absolutely clear to me ( electrically challenged)....from the wiring diagrams I was looking at !
    9B12E9D8-3165-4A76-A5D9-AA107969F76E.jpg BE0D1EFB-7F2D-4AA6-8468-908907FDB83A.jpg

I will Re-splice The smaller yellow wire… Position 3 .......the next warm dry day !!
This last splice should fix it… And the check engine light should go off !
I will post when I have an update.
