Did a front brake job on my 08, drove down the road and the truck pulled to the left bad, got out & smelled the pads burning so I went home & used a laser thermometer & saw the temp was wayyyy higher than the passenger side. Immediately thought it was a stuck caliper so I ordered a new one.. fast forward a week, installed it & no luck. Rotor would turn by hand with wheel off, but with wheel on it was stuck. Took wheel off, put two lugnuts on the studs to tighten rotor, it was stuck once tightened up.. finally realized the rotor was against the caliper. Measured rotor depth from the outside edge on the hub end to the face of the rotor and it’s around 5mm offset. Called Powerstop & they just sent me to Amazon customer service. Ordered through Amazon but from Powerstop’s store on Amazon.. so I figured the manufacturer could help send JUST the correct side rotor. Instead of doing that, Amazon will only let me send the entire set back, meaning more work/time to remove the good side and a trip to ups versus the manufacturer just simply sending a correct rotor. I’d even pay extra for rush shipping. So I have to order a whole new set, which I’m going back to EBC now after that.. & hopefully Amazon doesn’t reject the refund when used parts arrive as the return. Anyone else ever received the wrong rotor in a set? Simply replacing the one rotor could have saved me a lot of time & got the truck back on the road. Will not be using Powerstop in the future.. I get that parts get mixed up, but not offering to simply send the correct one when I have photo proof that it’s wrong made zero sense. Was not Amazon’s fault, the factory sealed box was the correct kit. The wrong rotor was packaged at the manufacturer’s fault.

It happens but not very common, best practice is to compare old rotors to new rotors when replacing them, I would order another same set from Amazon and just take out one new rotor from the new set, that way you only have to switch that single rotor.
