What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Mods are irreversible or otherwise permanent alterations to a vehicle's configuration for the purpose of changing its capabilities. Everything else are accessories (coin trays, mats, truck nuts, nipple rings, etc etc.)

so bolt-on sliders, suspension upgrades, wheels and tires are just accessories?

 

You know the old saying… “Rust isn’t neglect, it’s a mod”

 

Tires yes but the rest are mods. You can't take sliders and suspension off easily and in my very unprofessional opinion falls under "otherwise permanent". Carry on!

I just consider anything I do to my truck as "customized", rreegardless of if it's a modification or an accessory.

Finally got some radios to keep in the truck. No more yelling to the spotter. Plus a nice backup to cellphones when we go hiking out in the middle of no where.

 

Just got laid off yesterday, from a career with a multinational retailer that has had record sales for the past 6 years in a row. … if anyone is aware of openings for Point of Sales Systems Analysts in Retail or Hospitality, I’d gladly accept info!

 

Took it out camping!

 

Testfit the bed tent given to me (free ... thank you @OnePuttBlunder). Came with an air mattress and a comfort foam pad. There is a tear in the outside but it hangs outside the bed under little stress so should be easy to mend. Did not think it would be so tall otherwise would has installed the rain-fly as well.

 

Enjoy it @RichochetRabbit The poorsmajhal isn't the prettiest but it works. Had a ton of great trips with that thing.

You know, you raise a great point! I havent gone camping in YEARS. It's due time, and i'd really benefit from it.

 

Two of the front straps lost their hooks but I just put the elastic around the door last for the read doors. I will fix the corner section and then start learning about truck-camping. If I learn enough around the population center of PHX I may move to west Las Vegas and have 2-hour access to DV after my lease runs out here.

 

You mean the tow hook? Not a great recovery point.
