    Hi guys,
This is my first post here. I have a 2010 Tacoma Pre-runner LB.
I do land survey in San Jose, CA and carry my field supply and equipment in my truck. I leased a Tundra for 3 years, then I bought the Tacoma last year. I had installed field organizer and cover from Silver Shield System on my Tundra. I sold the cover but i want to do some size alteration to the organizer and eventually install it in my Tacoma. I would like to know if somebody had done any organizer installation on Tacoma and get some Ideas on how to do it. I see 4 big bolts on bed of Tacoma, is it possible to use those bolts to tie down the organizer in bed? The organizer has a ½” plywood at bottom which I think of drilling holes in and tie down with bolts.
I am looking to buy an Undercover SE with smooth surface to paint. So far I got an estimate of $927 including installation ($40), painting not included. What do you guys think of the quote?

Um, I pretty much know nothing since I'm new to Tacomas, but contact truckalterations.com for your cover since they gave me a great deal on my Access LE.

As far as the bolts go, I recently installed two new d-rings by taking off the two large silver bolts near the cab, shaving off some washer and re-installing. The bolts attach to the frame (am pretty sure) and are long enough (it sounds) to accommodate your plywood.

Not sure if any of this helps. Good luck!

Look at the mounting points under the truck, to see if there is enough bolt sticking through. I know for the rear bolts (at least on the 6ft bed) there isn't even enough extra for a d-ring that I would feel safe with. But in the center and the front their should be enough, again this is on my truck with a 6ft bed. I've never looked at a 5ft bed.

If you look at the bed of your tacoma, there are 3 rows of bolts, 2 bolts on each row.
I would use the middle one and they are long enough.
    Thanks

Does anybody have the dimensions for Undercover SE (model UC4066s). I need to know how far the mounting brackets stick out toward inside of bed, basically how much clearance do we need to have from inside of bed rail.
I also need to know what the thickness of the cover is in the middle. Or what clearance do I need to have from bed to bottom of cover.
    Thanks
