The errors started after the collision and it got worse from there, one system after another fried out every time the truck engine was turned on... from my house to the tow truck to the dealership and there moving the car around. Today I was told, after they fixed the BSM and calibrated it, (because I told them that my app told me via 'connectivity services' that the pre-collision warning system is now malfunctioning) - they got mad, but looked at it, tested it and then found a fried "bad" wiring harness (after they installed the new BSM sensor unit and calibrated it... everything was fine for a few days). They replaced the wiring harness, which in turn fried the mirrors.... Bizarre. But that is what happened. They replaced the mirrors. freaking... I am very concerned.

I'm dealing with something similar. Someone hit my truck while it was parked.

Insurance companies are used to dealing with people who don't know anything about cars. They don't care how it's fixed, as long as it's pretty again. They won't look at the details, they won't look underneath or behind plastic splash shields. When someone who DOES have a sense of what's going on comes into the picture, they simply fight you because they themselves don't know any better.

I wish these idiot drivers would just hit my vehicles hard enough to total them, so I don't have to deal with any of the repair process or idiot lazy adjusters and estimators, or crook dismantlers who overcharge for used parts.

It’s a workmanship warranty. Don't confuse that with the warranty that comes with a new vehicle. A workmanship warranty only covers failures related to installation/repair errors. It does not guarantee that a component or system will never fail.

Well, if there was an honest way to tell the 'default - at fault' collider to back up and make another run at it but a bit harder faster... right? I am right there with you. My damage appeared so miniscule I am totally surprised with the current results and hassle... You know how long they have been at it? The accident was on January 6... The truck was dropped at the body-shop dealership a week and half later or so. It's been over a month in repair and going back and forth with the ECU systems fixes. Great, I have new outside mirrors now. What's next? If it there weren't a potential liability in my wishing, I wish I could wish the planned UTAH Desert Moon Module landing would instead land you know where. "Vague enough"? LOL.
