The price is a big issue and we’ve debated other vehicles because it’s so bad. Definitely not gonna buy this year though so I’m gonna wait and see if the prices change at all.

 

I’d just get a GX for that price. I’m not taking any vehicle that cost 80 grand off the pavement. We really have some shitty dealers around here.

I thought the same thing. I’m not sure how much I thought they would be but Toyota is starting to have luxury car prices… or shit just costs a fuckton more…

 

Good morning guys.

I was curious about the 4th gen Tacos because of an available manual, but after learning the access cab no longer has small doors for rear access, I was out. This was even before pricing started popping up. I looked at a new, left over '23 AC SR Taco at the frederick stealership a few weeks ago. I hated the seating position, I'm not even sure that any seat jackers could fix it for me so that basically eliminated a 3rd gen for me. Maybe the SR5 seats are better, I have no idea as I've never sat in one. I keep telling myself that I just need to keep my Taco and just drive it but the more that I drive it the more I hate it.

I've noticed when driving the 3rd gen T4R, I have a noticeable driveline vibration past 60 mph. I can feel it through the t-case shift lever. I hope that the t-case isn't getting ready to shit the bed, I never see any of the multi-mode J pattern cases in the scrap yards.

 

In general, the seating position of the 3rd gen is not fantastic. I do like my Tacoma, but the seats are one of my gripes. Some days I do wish I had went with a GX.

Why not look into a double cab 4th gen?

 

Anyone want a set of Megatron LED bulbs? I can’t be sure they work but they did when I had them in my truck before I put the oem LED headlights in. Just gotta come pick them up or meet close, I’m in Bel Air-

 

We’ve definitely considered the GX. The only real turn off is the fact that it requires premium fuel. That’s the GX right? Or am I mixing up my Lexus models?

Yea you’re not kidding, I don’t think I could afford a new Tacoma these days.

 

You are correct. It takes premium gas. Well take that off my list.

 

I’ll never understand why they did that. It would be a perfect vehicle otherwise.

 

I may actually be selling my truck. Going to officinally retire June5th. Wife doesn’t drive ,so we don’t need 2 vehicles. Her 23 4Runner only has 5900 miles.

 

So your saying that among the great news of retirement and sad news of selling the Taco… there may be a retirement party/ part out party in the near future?

But all honesty, congratulations sir!! Can’t wait till I can one day announce my own retirement!!
