Hope y’all’s week was great. Mine was gnarly busy with work. Got plans to hook up my new bilsteins on the race Taco tomorrow if time allows. Figured I’d share my finds I scored on the way home at Dollar General. The real rad score was what was waiting in the mail box for me! Got those J-Imports in cases. Totally dig the card art. Everyone enjoy your weekend. Much peace as always till next time.

I’ll keep that in mind most definitely. I’ll also keep an eye out for an extra one that’ll have your name on it at the least. I’ll keep you posted!

Pennzoil C10 before and after mods. You can laugh if you want but I improvise often with things I find around the house and work. I was able to obtain the stock ride height by using wooden coffee stirrers I found at work as spacers between the chassis and body. Initially my thought was they would look great for making wooden bed floors. They threw out 3 unopened boxes of them and 1 box made its way home.
The Nova SW Gasser received new wheels, a lot of detail and a gold roof .
Grumpy Jenkins never raced a Gasser that I know of but I couldn't resist with this one. It had grey painted steel wheels and was boring. Parts of a Hot Wheels Nova SW went underneath.

The pie crust slicks are a recent addition and will be going on most of my gassers in the future, Rigor Motor is wearing a set of Muscle Machine wheels. I bought a pack of Hot Wheels wanting just one car and wound up liking this one after swapping wheels and keeping it as well. I destroy a lot of Muscle Machine doing this but they are cheap at yard sales for a $1 and I usually dont do it to ones with the motors sticking out of the hood.hot wheels shoot 1023 246.jpg

We went thrift/junk store hopping today, looking for a nice, lightly used dresser and of course i had to take a few minutes to look at diecasts:

I’ve been looking for any version of this casting that is still in its original packaging, I just couldnt leave this one behind

I wiped it down with some dawn and water since it was a little dirty when i got it. Other than some obvious paint chips, i’d say its in great condition!! One of my all time favorite castings.

Back at it today with a quick Dollar General stop. Was stoked to be able to get with my bro and swap out my old suspension on the Race Taco with some new Bilsteins. I’ll be posting that in the street truck forums. Back to HW! Scored some nice stuff today. Seems the DG I went to just restocked a few days ago with a D case.
@Kilo Charlie , I was able to score more of the El Caminos, one for my dad and one for yourself! I’ll send you a PM. Hope everyone’s weekend is going good so far. Much peace till next time!

Well, I found the Hot Wheels RS200. I nearly bought the AE86, which this Hobby Lobby had two. But in the end I decided against it, as I already have more than one example.

And I think the best color for these is white.

Finished up the ceiling yesterday. Then did the ceiling inside that cubby with the scraps. Still need to buy some molding to do around the edges but that shouldn’t be hard. My wife loves it so much she asked if I could do the ceiling in her office.

Another step closer! Hopefully she lets you finish the HW Room before moving on to her ceiling!

That’s the plan. As of right now I can only do stuff on the weekends and that’s as long as there’s nothing else going on. I’m sure she’s going to ask if we can paint it first. And I’m sure everyone already knows, when she says we…. It’s just me.

Back at it again. Woke up early to wash the real cars and then the lady and I decided to make a cruise out to a local flea market. Scored some nice finds there and in the grocery store today. Surprisingly enough I was able to score a bunch at the flea market for just around retail price or lower. Some of the classic editions and older ones were a few dollars more but pretty well priced. Much peace

Same, scored it for $2.00. Always dig the novas. Growing up my dad had a candy apple red 1977 nova. Always dug that car. Had to scoop up some 57 chevys as well.
