SOS strange rubbing metal noise near transfer case

    Used it last night i go down this straight road just to use the 4wd every month. Then i heard the noise today and before this but worse today. And then 5 minutes ago i put her in 4wd to test again everything seems fine except the noise is getting worse and worse

    40k miles, transfer, both differentials were changed at 33k miles

    Do you know the type of fluid used for the transfer case ? It is a specific amount (1.0L or 1.1 quart).

    Some delaehsips have been known to not always do this correctly

    I’ll have to check the paper but someone else said it kinda sounds like the heat shield rubbing the exhaust gona check tomorrow

    The screw is rusted out hopefully not too expensive to fix. Looks like we will be okay lol

    For anyone wondering 175 at the stealership for that fix. Seems decent enough dont have time to around everywhere to price compare
