Just popped on my Toyota app too.

 

My 2023 DCSB OR is in the recall too.

 

My 2023 DCSR OR has the notice in my app as well.

 

PLANO, Texas (Feb. 27, 2024) –Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain MY22 to MY23 Toyota Tacoma trucks in the U.S. Approximately 381,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

Welding debris left on the ends of the rear axle assembly during manufacturing could cause certain retaining nuts to loosen over time and eventually fall off, potentially causing a part to separate from the axle. If separation occurs, this can affect vehicle stability and brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

 

Anybody have the Toyota work sheet for that recall? I am outside the US at the moment and the Toyota recall website does not accept my VIN. Thanks for help.

 

Nothing on my 22 OR VIN on this, I just had child seat restraint from last year

 

22 OR 6MT, I see the recall in my app. Says letters will be out by April. I saw that the 22 Tundras had a very similar recall in 22.

 

Yes I got it today in the app. I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow a.m. to see if they will replace my already dead battery.

 

Anyone have a drawing for the rear axles. Is this a nut we can see ourself for now untill they figure it out to see if we have any issues.

Recall VIN tool says no active recalls on mine for now.

 

Hmm, mine's in it. Bummer. Oh well. I'll wait for them to come up with the solution (it says some time in Q2 of 2024) before I worry. In the mean time I'll enjoy my truck. If they give me a new axle in a couple months, I'm ok with that.

Toyota's recall check website isn't working for me today.

edit: never mind, 2022 and 2023 only.

 

My Toyota phone app chimed me today.....

 

Yep 2022 built in August 2022.

 

The app says it can decrease braking power, and result in a crash.
Mine already brakes like crap so...I feel like I'm probably good.

 

mine have squeaked since day one (not constant), don’t build them like they used to
