I very recently switched over to the Black Cooler which is a Haden 978 or something, makes a huge difference over the Silver Mishimoto Cooler which didn't do shit for cooling. I havnt seen temps above 210 yet, but thats all highway and mountain ascents. Based of the new average temps on the mountain climbs the temps will be around that while on the trail.

I switched over the Mishimoto Cooler Fan to the Haden Cooler, and that fan is controlled by my TransTemp Gauge. I have the Gauge Programmed to negative trigger a relay to control the Fan. The Gauge is cool, the Face Flashes Red for about 30 seconds when it reaches the Set Point Temperature and will stay a steady Red after 30 seconds until Temps go below the Setpoint. Its a no brainer operation ..like having a "For The Poors" version of a Motech. The Coolant Temp Gauge is also one of the Inputs to my PWM Raditor Fan.

Trans Cooler located in the front in the OEM Location, you're a little more ambitious than me and I'd like to see what you're solution will be..pictures is the old Misishimoto Cooler

You’re not gonna get great flow in that location IMO unless you do some ducting. Even then it’s not ideal. Keeping things cool is all about capacity and flowing massive CFM through your coolers.

Or cut the hole to the size of the fin stack. And have a fan that can run 100% at 100% duty cycle that has high static pressure to push through. Especially at speed as the pressure build up in the back of the fender area is probably trying to push through into the bed. Counter acting the fan. Or wire it as a pull fan.
Maybe mounted in the bed cage closer to the cab would be better?

I don’t know where to duct from that won’t just completely saturate my cooling fins with mud. lol

It’s a puller fan already. Maybe I’ll pull that little cubby out of the bed.

this is definitely your issue if that cubby is still in place. That spot is pretty good since the space under the fender is going to be a bit of a high pressure zone at speed but the air needs to be able to get through. I'd say at least remove the cubby and maybe more. You could also cut the bottom and front side of the cubby, replace it with mesh, and what's left would make for decent ducting to catch some air

220 is typically the oil breakdown point. If you're below 210 you should be okay, but 190 would be ideal. I think air flow is your biggest issue in that location

A few weeks out and I should have a fully functional swingset. I can’t even begin to express how many surprises were found along the way. This was a monstrous project. Even with CAD and CNC at my disposal. But you definitely won’t be breaking this.

I can’t wait to show the other 3 variants!

    Nope!

Zoom in just right of my skid plate. @Baja Designs S2 Pro’s in IR. Those are also hooked up to my brake light kill switch, so I don’t see any glow in my rear view mirror when driving. And so I don’t blind my buddies driving under nods behind me.

The interiors on these trucks are able to go completely dark. It’s really nice for using nvgs.

    Really expensive .

    IMG_4328.jpg

Good, real night vision, uses analog image intensifiers to amplify visible and infrared light.

bad, garbage night vision is the stuff In kids toys, the digital, high latency light vision.

    What ya wanna know?

    they’re helmet mounted.

I recently bought a “skull crusher” which is basically just a BOA with the NVG dovetail on the front so I don’t have to wear a full helmet, but probably not the worst idea in the world to wear a helmet in my truck now. Lol
