Released today from Toyota. On 2022and 2023 Tacoma's, welding debris left on the ends of the rear axle assembly could loosen certain retaining nuts over time and fall off.
This could cause a part to separate from the axle. This could cause a brake and or stability issue.

Damned be those Covid and post Covid Tacomas! My 2019 hit the sweet spot… no first year issues and no “we can’t hire qualified help” issues. Oh the good old days.

My ARE Overland topper was one of my first purchases. I need the dry and secure storage 90% of the time. You’ll like the shell for what it does.

Otherwise, I’m on wild peak AT tall skinnies. icon Rxt stage 2 leaf pack, bilstein 6112s set at about 1.75” (don’t remember the exact setting), 5100s on the rear. Varies cosmetic small stuff I don’t really consider “mods”.

2019 had 3 major recalls lol. The brake booster didnt affect offroads, but it was one, fuel pump, and the radar recall.

How are you liking that leaf pack with the camper shell? I’m thinking I’m going to have to do something in the rear with a camper shell and the weight always being back there. I’m thinking of doing the same suspension as well how do you like it? And have you had any issues with it or caused by it like the needle bearing issue I hear people chatting about on here?

Recalls are good things. Car company fucked up… car company stands by its product. Sorry… recalls aren’t the ultimate report card on the quality of a vehicle. On the contrary, it gives confidence in the car company.

it’s been perfect so far. I started with an aal and quickly realized it was a waste of time and money. Go straight to the leaf pack if you need some lift and it’s in your budget. Deavers are mostly said to be top of the line, but I’m completely happy with my icons. And no… no needle bearing issues. But mind you, I’m lifted about 25% less than what conventional wisdom says is the max aka sweet spot.

Good to hear since I’m thinking of going and doing the same set up as you. What size tires are you running ?
