I want to replace the USB sort (photo attached) with a double USB port (or even a triple, but I don't see that). I would like to have one port for charging and one port for USB stick (with music). The current port works for both, I'd just like to be able charge my phone and listen to the music at same time.

Is there a particular brand of USB port you would recommend?
Do those pictured in the link fit in the port in the photo?
Particular features you recommend? (Lighted or not seems to be an obvious one)

Looking at this installation video, it is more involved than I might have guess. I might have someone do this.

Oh cool. For $7 I'll give a try.

Don't you have ports inside your center console you could use for charging?

use the USB C port in the center console. Fast Charging is a game changer. 2.1A is useless to me now.

Of course there's always the ports down at the bottom (WHY, who knows)
of the Black Hole Center Console.
I had to use one while on a trip with my Wife (Her Daily Driver 2021 TRD Off Road)
and I had to excavate out face masks, store receipts, a hamner type break glass tool in case of accident, hand cream, 2 pocket notebooks, 3 Sunglasses and about 3 or 4 charging chords. Then I had to use a flashlight to even find the ports in the dark bottom!
    Why Toyota?
Why at the bottom, for Pete's sake?!!!!!!

    haha, that’s the truth!
I leave my phone charger plugged in, but yeah it’s a B to find, and get your hand oriented just right. We were road trippin, and my copilot was cursing up a storm trying to find it in the dark while I was driving.

    Right!? Lol!

I leave a cord plugged into it all the time, use it to recharge my Garmin inReach. Bought a top tray to keep things somewhat organized.

I leave 2 - 6 foot cords plugged into those ports all of the time and have them coiled up inside the compartment with just the USB "C" end sticking out of the front of the lid about 2 inches. If I need to charge something I just grab a cord, pull it out a foot or 2 and it's good to go!

Planning ahead just in case works great!

I have the factory console safe in my center console, so leaving cord out is not an option. I may have to drill a hole in the safe to feed the wire thru.
