I just replaced both rear parking brake cables, old ones were frozen.
I adjusted the brakes by the wheels with a brake spoon my regular brakes seem ok but I still have no parking brake, I adjusted it up in the cabin also cause I had it backed off to install the cables, the pull handle is fairly tight & short travel but parking brake still doesn't engage, help?

    Welcome to Tacomaworld @captain83 !

Did the handle move freely when you had the cables off? Are the cables oem and move freely before install? Everything lubed up including in the drum?

This is a link to a search page in the 2nd Gen forum for “Parking Brake”. It comes up to 3 pages. It could be helpful for you to scroll through to see if there’s a fix or replacement that meets your needs.

If the link doesn’t work for you, go to the 2nd Generation forum, click on the magnifying glass near the upper right of the page, enter “Parking Brake” for a search term, click ‘search this forum only’.

Good luck and welcome again :hattip:
