Being wined & dined by a vendor we use at work all week long. The welcome event tonight is at The Sazerac House in NOLA. Unlimited hors d’oeuvres, unlimited samples of Sazerac cocktails, open bar, and an open kitchen (spicy shrimp & grits FTW). I had seen “Sazerac house” on the event itinerary but assumed it was a conference room at the Marriott. When I found out it was this locale my heart skipped a beat. My coworkers were cracking up at me nerding out. I’ll go back tomorrow when the gift shop is open :spending:

I realize this is a store pic, but I think the standard Four Roses SB is a pretty good bourbon. A little sweeter and a little less complex than the Small Batch Select.

This years first ECBP. Read mixed reviews on it but bought it for a little under MSRP or ~$70 which to me seems like a bargain for an almost 11yr old barrel proof. It smells very good so far.

Went into Raleys planning to buy either green river or noble oak double oaked, both $31.99 right now. Can't turn down redwood at $24.99 this week though, damn Raleys...

How's the GR and the Noble? I'll try one next time...

Killed a few bottles, now it’s time to buy/open a few lol. First time having it. Neck pour had a bit of a bite, but full of flavor. I can see myself enjoying this. Cheers.

I've been seeing this around. Outside of smell, how does it register on the other sensory spectrum?

Not sure what I’m buying yet. Tomorrow might be a drop at one of my stores, we’ll see.

Traveling a few days in West Texas. Saw a Specs nearby and went in….oh my - it could have been a dangerous! I had to control myself, as I couldn’t believe the number of bottles that were available that I don’t see in New Mexico. I was blown away by variety and it shows me Total Wine….meh..they need to open up their shelves to some stuff not associated to them!

But, I did pick up two bottles. The 1792, probably will be available in Albuquerque at some point, as the other 1792 bottles do show up occasionally. And I’ve enjoyed every 1792 bottle I’ve tried. So went with it. The Sea Grass is a bottle I’ve been hunting for a while but haven’t seen it. Excited for this bottle!

I’m here for two more days…see if I end up going back. :)

I love the seagrass, just opened it last night for the first time... but that 1792 Single Barrel might be one of the more underrated bottles out there.

Bought this on my 40th bday in Silverton, CO last September. Decided I wanted a fresh crack tonight. A little sentimental, but not bad for a single malt. Would be better at Handlebar's with some oysters... ;)
