I need to change out my oil in my differentials. asking Toyota they use mobile 1.Some of the forums, there’s a mixture and debate on which product. You should change out your differential every 30,000 miles but I what damn make sure I’m putting in the right one that will hold up hitting the trail. So I’m going toss this out and give me your opinions on Rotella…Is it worth the money or just step down to mobile1?I appreciate any feedback this.Be my first time doing this, so I guess you want to get it right. Also, if you look on Amazon, you can buy 5 gallons for like $195.00 35 lbs or could pay $70 and get 6 quarts of Mobile1…Is it safe to say buy it from Amazon?Or do you know, better supplier. Thanks guys!

Not even sure there exists a Rotella 75w90 gear oil. Rotella is typicall engine oil, and most often is diesel engine oil. I am guessing you are mistaking brand names. Got any photos or more details on that mystery product?

Shell makes something called Spirax 75w90 but appears to come in 5 gallon buckets and generally used on semi trucks only. Not really ideal for our truck so not sure why you'd even choose that or if that's what you are referring to.

Mobil 1 is fine. Valvoline synthetic is fine. Most sythetic 75w90 gear oils are okay, some better than others. I use AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w90 but apparently that makes me a cultist though it is great oil. Make sure whatever you choose meets the certifications listed in the owner's manual and you'll be fine. Go research down a huge rabbit hole at bobistheoilguy.com but caution you may become an oil snob.
