    I drive a Miata.
A large percent of my miles are towing miles. I did a drain and fill at 60, and I'm going to do another one at 75 purely for feel-good garage time. Then I'm going to leave it until 120k.

If I were you, do a drain fill every 60, and that's plenty.

But also, don't forget your differentials (Every 30K minimum) or your transfer case (Every 60k minimum). And also your coolant is due for a flush now.

Yeah I do my diffs and t case every 20k and did my coolant and spark plugs at 100k.

I got the Revenol 75w85 for diffs and t case going to do them when I do the transmission.

    Thanks again!

Your first mistake is you went to Mike Calvert for service.

hah! You’re from Houston? Yeah I should have filled it back up myself. I was new to Tacomas back then.

I’m actually in the Middle East now, I shipped my truck out here to lebanon.

Yep, from Houston had many negative events with Mike Calvert with service and sales. They must have a black raspberry next to my name. That's okay, I test drive get info, waste their time, and buy elsewhere and not afraid to tell them why I would never buy or have my vehicles serviced by them.

damn, sorry you went through that. I actually bought mine from don mccguil back in 2016 but went to mikes that day because it was closer to midtown where I used to live.

IF dealer agrees to do it. My wife's RAV4 had ATF replaced at 75k by a dealer (after I married her and took over vehicles M&R duties).
Scheduled another service at another dealer (AutoNation Toyota Thornton Road) at 113K miles (I do ATF services on all of myvehicles every 40K miles). Dealer had all the details (mileage, age, etc) before the I drove 45 min one way only to be told that they do not do ATF service on vehicles past 100K miles.

My independent mechanic the did full fluid replacement for me after that.

A good friend is a Toyota master tech, has worked at the dealership since 1989. He's one of the most knowledgeable and talented mechanics I've ever met, and I've been in the auto repair side of the insurance industry since 1995. His $0.02, never ever flush the trans, just drain/fill every 50k miles.

All bullshitting aside, they really are.
I cringe every time I see his ugly mug, and twice as bad when I see someone sharing his videos.
YouTube's algorithms have me fucked up with someone else.

As to the OP's latest, in a long string of questions: What did my dealer do?
Only your "tech" knew, and he has long forgotten, my friend..

Ya know.... I'd bet Scotty knows 10 times more than most people on TW.
Yeah, his video's are a bit over-the-top (NEVER BUY THIS!!!!) but he really seems to know what he's talking about when the video finally settles down..
So it kind of boils down to, Who ya gonna believe? A 50-something year mechanic, or some 20-yer old guy with a spiked Mohawk saying you NEVER need to change your tranny oil?
