    True, I suspect it depends on how much water refraction you need to make up for. Might be that they need to bring the entire club bag. ;)

    That would guarantee solitude but you might catch a head and phone poke out from around a tree occasionally.

    Holy shit, that's outstanding. Michigan is "T-14" law school (in the top 14 in US News & World Report's famous rankings).He ought to be in great shape, employment prospect wise, when he graduates. Congratulations!

    I may be mistaken, but I believe Attorneys start out at O3/Captain rank immediately. I made it through 1st year of law school 10 years ago, until I ran out of money and could not get student loans, and had to walk away. On or two of my classmates were considering a military career, there was a big display about DoD Law careers in the student lounge at the school I attended. The advanced Degrees (such as Law, MD,...) allow you to skip over O1/O2 pay grades. Also because medicine, law are so specific of MOS's (Military Occupational Specialties) and you can't get into them without the advanced Degree and license, and anyone in those fields isn't likely to ever decide they want to leave and go into a more general MOS (like Infantry, for example :rofl:).

    They 'essentially' start as a Captain, but not exactly. Close-enough to call it 'starting out' though.

    I think it'd be great for him to go normal ROTC and branch-detail to something like Artillery or Cav, then maybe use the Law/JAG route. Having that first-hand, boots-in-the-mud, broken track on a Bradley in the rain, at 3am, on a hillside...that's life-experience you can't pay to get :)

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::fistbump:

    My two best friends in high school were both M60 Armor Crewmen (this was mid 80's). I have no doubt they both had many such moments of excitement. One of them spent 2 years in Germany, patrolling the Czech border with their Soviet Bloc counterparts looking back at them from the other side of the border. I rather imagine that made the ole pucker factor increase a bit, too. Interestingly enough, I ended up going into an anti-armor MOS (T.O.W. missile systems repair).

    morning boys

    winds calmed down last night and did a 180* shift before bed so i got lots of sleep. wind was coming out of the south all day and then about 9pm switched and started out of the north instead. weird. and the forecast said we were supposed to get about 6" of snow last night. got maybe an inch. still going to go and check on my camper today, make sure its still upright.

    same thing happens up in AK with the salmon runs...just sometimes you get a 1000 pound grizzly in the mix just for fun.
