Hey y'all! Newer to Taco's, new to the forum.

Last year I purchased an '07 Tacoma PreRunner, and love it! I've done a few small things to it since we bought it, and done regular maintenance things like oil, plugs, fluids, etc.

I've never owned a vehicle though that's crossed that 250k mile mark (at least none that I wanted to keep) - but I want to keep my boy blue on the road for as long as I can.

I'm the 3rd owner, and I know the last owner was pretty meticulous, but I don't have service records - I know nothing about owner 1.

There are no issues with the truck today - but what should I be looking to do maybe over this year to keep this thing running like clockwork?

Thanks in advance for guidance on this!!

Always assume nothings been done. At that mileage, another assumption would be they’ve at least done spark plugs, brakes, air filter, and oil changes.

Take a look at the brakes so you know where you’re at. Then if it’s close to needing service, you can shop around for the parts ahead of time instead of running to the dealership because it’s suddenly metal on metal.

Start working on getting fresh fluids in. Coolant, brake fluid, gear oil.

What now you ask? Set a new mileage achievement without a major problem.

    Welcome to tw.
