I have a 95 Tacoma and I want to but some new suspension on it I’ve been looking at the OEM bilsteins from newer models. Would they hook right up or not? Just curious hope someone knows.

You may want to look at Bilstein 4600's, which are similar, if not the same shock, on the factory TRD package.

I have them Eibachs and am extremely happy with them. They are a bit softer than the 4600's, but do give a good responsive feeling for the daily commute. Great price point as well. I also reused my stock coil springs with them as well.

Do those stock ride shocks come with springs? Also I have 2003 Base model so they are lower than the prerunners would they also work on the base models?

Would these Bilstein 4600 also work for the 2003 base model?

What do you mean by base model? Those shocks will work on all 6 lug, 4wd and Prerunner.

Thats what they list them sometimes on some website for parts. Its not the prerunner or the 4x4 these are just the 2wd single cab or extend cab the one I have is 5 lug not the 6 lugs. They also sit lower because they are more for street road instead of the off road.

Rather than saying base model, stating that it's a 5 lug is much more relevant. You will need to find shocks for a 5 lug Tacoma. Does Bilstein make some.. I would imagine....Eibach, not too sure.

To be sure shoot SuspensionLifts an email with your VIN, they are pretty responsive. I'm pretty sure it's a yes, they would fit all 1995-2004's but confirm before ordering.

Yeah those are the ones that would fit on mine. How are they compare to the OEM? I heard its more better in handling and you sacrifice some comfort ride compare to OEMs.

I don't have any of those parts, but as far as pricing goes, it doesn't look like there is much savings to be had. Even elsewhere the shocks alone are around $2600, and the UCA's almost $1k. Might be able to piece it together and save a little.
