    Hey all,

Have this white crusty stuff on my hood and roof. Any idea what it is? Clear coat wearing off? Any tips on correcting it? It partially scrapes off with my finger nails, any tips on getting it off in a more effective manor or if that’s even advised.

    Thanks!

That is your clear coat that has failed. Not much you can do to fix it other than sand and respray it. If you wanted to try and take off the crusties you could wet sand it down to the base color but it will probably fade fairly quick with no clear coat to protect it. That’s a bummer man

My truck had the same issue so to delay the issue we wrapped the hood and roof to help protect the paint.. and looks a lot better.
