Frame rust at weld points

    A wire brush and POR-15 will fix that right up.

    IMG_2256.jpg Well, I decided to pass on that Taco. I found another one that is a 2010 Gen2 that’s in great condition, no rust issues like this one and very clean almost unused inside and with 71k miles. It has some surface rust on parts of the frame, but nothing like the 2017. It spent its life with one owner in Seward Alaska so I’m guessing the owner did not drive much out of town with it.

    Fluid filmed mine when new, hit it every fall now. The spots you missed will be obvious when a little surface discoloration pops up. That and undercarriage wash after some road salt gets under there. That should be enough to extend the life of any truck.
