Thank you for the feedback. I may run them until they annoy me and then sell them.

They would be tougher to use if commuting daily on the hwy for sure.

Pulled the trigger on them, Jordan from @Discount Tire hooked it up. Should have them installed by the end of the week

Discount Tire/America's Tire has them for $232/ea, as well for 285/75/16s

Have you regeared in the past or are you on stock gears?

I can’t keep myself away from the g003’s lol. I’m thinking of trying them again and doing 4.88’s to address some of the drivability issues.

A shift in the weather means the G003's have come out of storage and the studded G017's have gone into storage.

Some notes after doing the swap, the G003 has a substantially stiffer sidewall over the G017. Bolth being an E load you would figure it would be comparable but not definitely stiffer.

I have a bit of cupping/feathering on 2 likely caused by bad lower ball joints at the end of last year. Even with this I find to tire still reasonably quiet and tolerable for what it is.

Curious to see how the tread life fairs after this summer. If I hit my average they should have 50-60k km on them by October. I figure they will pretty much cooked by my definition, generally sell them off once they hit 10 or 8/32.

Overall still happy with them in a 295, may consider a 285/75r17 next. Especially happy with the look on the falcon T8's

I’m on stock gearing. It’s manageable. But would definitely need to regear if sizing up any more.

They do hum pretty good on the highway. But damn do they look good

Yeah man the look and performance makes the road noise worth it for most people I think. Thanks for the response!

How are these in the rain and snow? They look great! They are a heavy tire, from what I can find online at TireRack.

I actually thought they were light compared to comparable MT's.

But, I don't recommend MT's in general as a winter tire at all. They'll be good in fresh snow, but awful on packed snow and ice.

Rain performance has never bothered me. But, I have low expectations of anything with such aggressive tread. I think they're good for what they are, but probably terrible compared to a good all season.

I used mine throughout this last ski season regularly. We did a few weekend trips that had some decent snow on the road as well in Southern Colorado and I didn’t experience any slipping or sliding. I did slow it down extra in some areas just to be safe.

They are OK for an MT but really I don't recommend them for year round use. The G017 is far more realistic all season tire

They're actually one of the lightest MT tires you can buy. My 35x12.5R17 weigh 70Lbs while most others are 80-90lbs. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT is the only other I've found to be the same weight. Falken, Nitto, General, Toyo are heavy as hell

I completely agree. My 285/75/17 weight the same as a 265/75/16 falken MT.

IMG_3287.jpg IMG_3289.jpg I just had a set of these tires in 255/75/17 mounted up to the OEM 4R Pro SEMA wheels and I’m very happy with how they look. No rubbing on my stock suspension so far but I haven’t stuffed them yet. The helpful tech at @Discount Tire said that on some trucks this tire size rubs and on others there’s no issue.

Love that color Taco! Those tires make the truck look very rugged and capable. You need that in the 10 foot of snow you get in Tahoe. Thank you for your business.
