Hi, new member here. Been on the site a few times over the years but only because Tacoma's are awesome! On my 3rd one. Bought my first one, an '89, for $3000.00 and 87,000 miles on it. Drove it till 183,000 and got $1,500 for it. Probably put about $150.00 into it in repairs. Got my 2nd one, a '94, for $4500 with 45,000 on it and drove it till 93,000. That one had bad karma from a previous life I think. Dented it a few months after I got it, accidently shot it, found a big rock in the windshield one morning, and it got backed into. Got 2,500 on a trade in for The Grampa Ship-an '01, in '03 for $16k with 32,000 on it. It now has 233,000 on it. I finally gave it new struts, ball joints, and inner and outer tie rods last summer. Pretty sure I'll be giving it a new exhaust soon too. Put a new rear u-joint in it a couple years ago. Those dirt roads in Montana are rough on stuff! After 21 yrs I don't think I have $2k in repairs. Lol, spent at least 2-3x that on tires! I'd post a pic of my Silver '01 Tacoma with a bug shield but I'm pretty sure you've seen at least a few of those. Gotta say, this has been the most awesome truck of the 4 I've owned. The 83? Datsun (by Nissan) was pretty awesome too. So, yeah, thinking I'd like a new one but this one isn't done with me yet. I do know there will always be a Toyota truck in my driveway.
