I am sure this question has came up before and has been beat like a dead horse. But....

Here is the deal, I purchased my toyota from another guy that already had the lift, rims, tires, etc. on it. He was a cheap ass and didnt want to pay the extra money to get wheel sensors put on the 20's and also did not hook up the ABS sensor.

    Here is what I have.

    07 Dbl cab 4x4
    6" Procomp lift

Now the question is where should I start to look for where the ABS sensor should be hooked up? Is there a trick or any mods that need to be done because of the lift? Any suggestions would be helpful, just want to get this work done right.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

One of my neighbors has a huge GMC truck, we went in it to do some construction remodeling. I was leaning on it and looked at the wheel-well. His ABS cable was out of its mounting bracket. Pointed it out to him and he said it was because he had a lift put on it and the cable was too short.

So yours may have been too short to be re-hooked up. I'd start by looking inside the wheels and see if you can find the cable end. Maybe an extension can be bought or made.

Thanks for the tip, I just went out and checked them and it appears everything is completely hooked up. Any other ideas?

    getting there....
what you may need to do is go under the truck and where the sensors are hooked up at....unplug them one by one then plug them back in. there could be a small piece of debris causing the light to come on. worth a shot anyway.

Maybe the ECM is tossing a fit because they unplugged the sensors when they did the lift, and all you gotta do is borrow a scanner from Advance Auto and clear the code. Worth a shot anyways (for free).

Thanks for the tips, both sound very plausable. I will check it out tonight and see if I can come up with anything. I will let everyone know.

    Thanks again,

    Kyle
