It all depends on our priorities.

I'm not a camper shell guy...I'm more a DB tonneau cover kinda guy.

We all pursue different upgrades to our trucks.

What I avoid is displaying my opinion on this board in a way that denotes one upgrade as adamently wrong or unworthy.

It's a one-sided opinion that is expressed and just is unnecessary in my opinion.

It happens a lot on TW but I tend to ignore it...even though this is a rare observational opinion expressed.

Took the Taco for about a 22 miles round trip drive to the big boy toy store to dream about some fox shocks

This one. I think I have it working correctly. Haven't really had a chance to see if will work consistently yet.

Thanks Brother ! I don’t mind getting her dirty but on the pavement I’m pretty OCD lol.
I think what helped out of the gate is the dealer got it in within only a day or two when I bought it last July. My truck was built in June and the dealer got it just before I bought it. If the dealer has them for months or weeks normally they just spray them off with “spotless” pressure washers and don’t wipe them down so they bake in the sun some times and that’s how you get a lot of those water spots on the paint and glass. The only time they normally wipe them down after washing is when there cleaning for delivery.Plus there sitting on the lot and getting all those contaminates in the air to boot. I always claybar my cars/trucks after I get them home even if there new and you’d be suprised how much dirt comes out of the paint even being new from just sitting on the dealers lot. Then I’ll either wax and Or ceramic coat them for protection after the clay bar and I also clay bar the windows . The paint was really good on mine from the beginning so I can’t take all the credit :)

I thought I'd try a cigarette lighter from my old truck, but no good. I don't know if there is a special one that fits, or it's not useable as such. No biggie though it's nice to have in a pinch.

We have the same year and color! What factory was yours from. I do dig the thickness of the paint on mine. Do you use anything specific on the exterior plastics?

I would prefer a tonneau cover, but a camper fits my needs better. That’s why we have so many choices, so we can choose what is best for us.

Nice !! Yeah they did a good job with this silver it is pretty Thick and they layed it on well .Love the metal flake in the sun to looks beautiful. I’ll have to look but I want to say New Mexico but I might be thinking of a BMW I had . Were was your made and what other plants were there ? One thing for sure the Fit & finish is pretty good everything lines up well as far as hood doors and fenders all are nice and even with the gaps.
Oh and almost forgot this is what I normally use on the plastics but haven’t used anything yet on the Taco. Works really well on all my other vehicles.

    There is a
there is a Y code and an M. Both in Mexico. Mine is a Y… can’t remember the entire name but the last few years are either from one of the two plants in Mexico. It is a rad color in the sun. Fun at night too when it’s clean and the street lights are on.
